Why hire a landscape designer separate from a design/build firm.I am here as an advocate for the homeowner. I have no interest in over selling planting material or designing crazy shaped overly large, patio spaces to make money. It is likened to having an architecture plan before you begin building a house. By the time we are done working together, you will know exactly what your property if going to feel like. The landscaper can then bid for the project from a completed plan, thus giving the homeowner a price based on what they are expecting. I take pride in working with a wide array of budgets and helping homeowners phase out projects over the years. No project is too small or too big.

What happens first? We will begin by walking the property together and talking about your needs and wants concerning your homes exterior. After doing a site analysis, I will begin to find the best possible solutions for your home. We will be in partnership together and I will not stop until you have a plan that you love and understand. Plans typically start at $2,400 for a typical front yard. However, every project is unique and independent of each other and may vary from $1,800 for small specific projects to $8,500 on up for larger properties. Design fees are also based on the complexity of properties. Complexity can be driveway design, walkway design, patio design and planting design. Please note while many companies tell you plans are for free, this is just not true. There is always a designer behind the scenes and those costs may be buried in the complete project bid. Please see design process to better understand the course of work involved.

What happens after you have a plan in your hand?Once plans are finalized, I will recommend a landscape company that has been heavily vetted by me to be both fair and do an excellent job. A separate fee to manage the project will be added. You will receive a proposal directly to you from the landscape company.
